Our client, Lena Rodriguez, was super fun to take photos of! She models for LAT Studios and she chose us, LP Photography, to take her senior photo shoot. 🙂 Fun! Fun!

We used a Canon 7D with a 70-200mm lens and a 5D Mark II with 35mm lens. And our best lighting equipment here in El Paso TX, 5:00 sunshine!!!

I couldn’t have been any happier with this outfit I wore today. The peachy blouse, and the yellow high wedges gave me an open springy feeling I could not hide. I went out shopping to return a small-fitted pair of polka-dot high rise shorts that I fell completely in love with online. I was eying on purchasing more items so I wandered about the ever-so-big Forever 21. While mingling with the never-ending array of accessories, the store manager caught me off guard.
“I like your shoes,” she told me. “In fact, I like your whole outfit.”
I blushed thanking her.
“Actually,” she continued. “Are you looking for employment? We’re hiring right now. Are you interested?”
Well a decent opportunity for employment doesn’t come by very often! She printed me out an application and gave me a bit of an interview right then and there. I gleamed the whole day through! Thank you, outfit!!! 😀

I believe color scheme is SUPER important within an outfit. Like every aspect of design, a color scheme ties everything together. So be bold, be grand, be as colorful as you’d like, and tie it all together!!! 😀

Thank you!

Bringing New Life to an Old Piece

This worn down cabinet needed some new life! While boyfriend was sick in bed I took advantage of a beautiful day, ripped this old thing out of my overly stuffed closet and began a remodel.

Image

  • I gathered paint, a sandblaster, tape, and brought out a pair of knobs I had purchased a while back to suit with the rest of my bedroom.
  • It took a couple of coats to get this semi vintage paint; very easy, super fun, and it matches other belongings in my room!

Image

  • I LOVE THE FINISHED LOOK! I painted whatever came to mind, adding more and more stripes.

  •   It’s odd mixing the stripes and polka-dotted knobs, but it has its mix-max charm!

Remodeling any object old to new has a profound satisfaction to it. The cabinet sits along my wall. It’s one of the first things you see walking into the room. It stands out but still follows the color and pattern scheme. At the moment, I have the same feeling as if I had bought something new and I didn’t spend a dime. 🙂 Thank you!

Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s Camera

Fujifilm Instax Mini 7s Camera

This a mini instant film camera. This little thing has BIG quality! My lovely photographer boyfriend gave it to me as a gift for Christmas. I’d been eying it for some time after an instant photo was taken of me, and wow, the color and the detail were pretty slick!! (In other words, I loved how I looked!) 😀

The Instax Mini should be much more popular! I always tell people to get. They’re really neat and makes for the best memories. Since the film is a bit priced and adds up, you have to be wise of the shots you get. In the end, every shot is special, even if you can’t preview, delete, and retake.

I posted a link to a reliable sight (B&H Photo) where you can find them. Mini albums are sold perfect for the film, and of course, cases. I hope I get mine soon! 🙂

Pop it on the Shelf

Pop it on the Shelf

Here’s a little DIY for your bookcase if you don’t prefer the stock covers or the plain black. This also explains my header photo. I took some funky and vintage fabric for this to give my books a pop on the black shelf. I absolutely love how it looks!

The next book I cover, I’ll do a simple step by step with photos!

Shine On Me, Baby!

It’s my time to shine on this first post! At least, that’s what I believe at the moment…

Ever since I learned to put sounds together, I loved writing, making things, and making nonsense into triumphant screen plays in my head. Later on, I began to win few awards and recommendations for pieces. Very nice. Then, all of a sudden, I stopped writing, I stopped expressing. Why? I don’t know. Maybe I felt it wasn’t getting me anywhere, but oh mighty! How I miss writing!

Now, here I am, sharing bits by bits hoping to feel complete again…

Please take a few to read “About Brandelynn”.

Thank you!
